- Sign up for the Employer Network
-
Companies throughout the region have signed up for the Spare The Air Employer Network. By becoming a member of this network, company representatives receive Spare The Air Advisories at their work sites via e-mail. A Spare The Air Advisory is issued when the Air Quality Index is forecast to reach 127. The employer representative will then notify employees when a Spare The Air day has been issued. This way, the employee can reduce driving in an effort to improve air quality, or may decide to curb outdoor activities for health-related reasons. As a member of the Spare The Air Employer Network, each company will receive special announcements from the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District regarding new programs, incentives and special offers exclusively for Employer Network participants. Make sure that one person from your company signs up as the Spare The Air Coordinator so you will receive all the benefits associated with the Employer Network.
