Exemptions
The following exemptions apply at all times:
  • Devices that operate exclusively with natural gas or propane
  • Cooking devices
  • Homes and businesses where wood burning is the only source of heat
  • Ceremonial fires related to specific religious activities
  • Hardship waiver approved by the Air Pollution Control Officer due to compelling economic reasons
Futhermore, under the District's Stage 1 - No Burn - Unless Exempt restriction, pellet stoves and EPA Phase II certified fireplace inserts or stoves are exempt.
