Weather Conditions:
Thursday, as a weak cold front moves into northern California, increasing clouds will reduce ozone formation in the Sacramento region. Therefore, despite light winds limiting pollutant dispersion, ozone levels will be Good. Friday, increasing sunshine will aid ozone production, and calm morning winds will limit dispersion. However, light southerly winds will help to disperse pollutants in the afternoon, keeping ozone levels Good. Saturday, a stronger cold front will impact northern California, producing widespread rain showers and gusty southerly winds in the Sacramento area. These weather conditions will inhibit ozone formation and effectively disperse pollutants, yielding Good ozone levels.
