Weather Conditions:
Monday, a morning temperature inversion and generally light winds have limited mixing and dispersion in the Sacramento area. Therefore, despite light to moderate north-northwesterly winds dispersing some pollutants this afternoon, particle levels will be Moderate. Tuesday, a weak weather system moving into northern California will enhance atmospheric mixing and produce light to moderate southeasterly winds in the Sacramento region. These weather conditions will disperse pollutants, leading to low-Moderate particle levels. Wednesday, surface high pressure building over the Pacific Northwest will generate light to moderate north-northwesterly winds that will help to disperse pollutants. Therefore, particle levels will remain low-Moderate.
