Weather Conditions:
Wednesday and Thursday, upper-level high pressure over the southwest U.S. will build into northern California, reducing vertical mixing and weakening the onshore flow. These conditions, combined with increasing temperatures and sunny skies, will enhance ozone formation. As a result, ozone levels will be mid- to high-Moderate on both days. Friday, continuing light winds, hot temperatures, and carryover pollutants will cause ozone levels to increase into the low-Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups AQI range in the Sacramento region.
