Weather Conditions:
Sunday, winds will strengthen and shift to southwesterly in the afternoon, aiding pollutant dispersion in the Sacramento region and yielding low-Moderate particle levels. Monday, an upper-level trough of low pressure will move through northern California, enhancing vertical mixing in the atmosphere. However, light and variable winds at the surface will inhibit dispersion, allowing pollutants to accumulate. As a result, particle levels will be Moderate. Tuesday, light to moderate northwesterly winds will aid pollutant dispersion and gradually bring a cleaner air mass into the region, resulting in low-Moderate particle levels.
