Air Quality Forecast and Weather Discussion
Tuesday, light to moderate onshore winds will aid pollutant dispersion in the Sacramento region, and cool temperatures will reduce ozone formation. Therefore, ozone levels will be low-Moderate. Wednesday and Thursday, light and variable winds will reduce dispersion. Furthermore, as a weak upper-level ridge of high pressure builds over northern California, slightly warmer temperatures will enhance ozone production. As a result, ozone levels will be Moderate on both days.
