Air Quality Forecast and Weather Discussion
Saturday, an upper-level trough of low pressure will produce showers and moderate southwesterly winds in the Sacramento region. These winds will usher in a clean air mass, leading to Good particle levels. Sunday, light southeasterly winds during the morning hours will limit dispersion and gradually transport regional pollutants into the Sacramento area. However, northwesterly winds will develop in the afternoon, dispersing pollutants and leading to high-Good particle levels. Monday, light to moderate northwesterly winds will keep pollutants well dispersed, yielding Good particle levels.
